Once upon a time, a maiden with hair the colour of cherries met a boy named Pynky. Pynky wooed and courted the girl, and one day, installed mIRC on her computer so he could chat with his friends from #thecabin while he was at her house. The redheaded girl (eventually) learned how to connect, chose the nick “syren”, and made her way into #thecabin in the hopes of learning everything she could about IRC while Pynky was out of town in order to impress him.
And then she got hooked.
Even after Pynky and syren split, she stuck around and stayed r33t. One day, she grew up and earned her “@”, and one of #thecabin’s knights, real-ity, started calling her “irc princess”. Things were r33t for a while, until the day that a mean dragon from #thecabin (not naming any names, eros!) made her cranky one too many times, and she took a (very) long hiatus.
But the irc princess pined for #thecabin, and one day she returned. She even made friends with the dragon.
While syren doesn’t visit #thecabin as often as she once did, she still returns from time to time.
And they all lived r33tily ever after.
